Sometimes things don’t work out as you had planned… Steph & Nick had planned a wedding in Australia for September this year but then… well, we all know what happened. The choice was to wait until ‘who knows when’ to go with their original plans or to focus on the main event, getting married to each other. Thankfully they chose the latter and married in Nick’s parents back garden in Fife with a limited number of guests and Steph’s family in Australia watching the entire day by (professional) video link up.
Surreal? slightly… different? a little… special? most definitley.
There were tears (Steph not having her family there of course was a big deal) however they had planned such a beautiful initimate wedding that was just filled with love and celebration. When Steph’s family in Australia were dancing in their dining rooms thousands of miles away whilst Nick and Steph danced their first dance in Nick’s parents living room, it almost broke me. So far away but all just right there, at that moment, with each other.
